PMA have recently completed the comprehensive refurbishment of the Bloomsbury Theatre as a key component of the proposed masterplan for UCL’s Bloomsbury campus. The project involved the creation of a new studio theatre, offi ces and ancillary spaces in addition to the refurbishment of the main auditorium and foyer space, but also involved the coordination and collaboration with design teams responsible for adjoining projects, which included:
- a new student Centre (Architecture PLB / Nicholas Hare Architects)
- reconfi guration of the lower refectory (Burwell Deakins Architects)
- the new Wilkins Terrace (Levitt Bernstein Architects)
- new infrastructure service tunnels (BDP)

This involved extensive consultation with all stakeholders within the University as well as a series of interface workshops with the wider design teams.
