As part of a new campus redevelopment this part of the commission involved the restructuring of the existing 2,000 m2 library and the attachment of two new inter-linked wings to provide new 4,000 m2 of learning resource facilities.

Development restrictions, imposed by outline planning consent, and dictated by the demands of the campus masterplan and the functional requirements of the subject building, resulted in a deep floor plan solution.

This required the development of flexible, environmentally sensitive, climatic control and glazing systems to enable a solar controlled employment of maximum natural light and comfortable working conditions.
