The Paul O’Gorman building is a new Cancer Research Institute designed by Grimshaw and completed in 2007, featuring a striking modulated terracotta facade and a glazed entrance ‘slot’ separating the new building from the existing medical school.

Since completion, the Institute was keen to improve security arrangements at the entrance and in conjunction with a specialist, we designed a new frameless security portal system to complement the existing architecture, featuring a structural glass screen, portals and reception desk.
