Fiona Ballance

Fiona is a qualified architect and a specialist in workplace design. She has an extensive track record of designing and delivering large complex fit outs projects gained over a 25-year period for world class companies in the financial, legal, technology and public sectors. Fiona is a creative and strategic thinker who enjoys working with clients to translate their business aspirations into design solutions and achieve their long term goals.

Fiona started her career at Pringle Brandon Architects and became the first female partner in 2008. Following the acquisition of the company by global architectural practice, Perkins & Will, Fiona acted as Principal and Operations Director where she oversaw the integration of corporate processes and the growth of the business into multiple sectors and a doubling of the architectural headcount.

Fiona completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Organisational Leadership at the Said Business School at Oxford University in 2017, which focussed on strategic decision making to support organisations in a changing cultural and technological world.

With in depth experience of client and stakeholder engagement, Fiona is an excellent communicator and can easily engage with others, understand complex issues and distil these into coherent and accessible action plans. With her unique drive and energy, Fiona has seen a wide range of projects through from inception to completion. Key projects include Standard Life Aberdeen fit out in Edinburgh (BCO Regional Award for Best Corporate Workplace 2018); Royal Bank of Canada (London, Luxembourg and Hong Kong); JP Morgan (London & Frankfurt); Allen & Overy; and Rothschild & Co’s London offices.Fiona is passionate about diversity and equality in the profession and an Advocate of Women in Architecture.
