Paul Murphy Architects were appointed by the London Borough of Camden to examine the transformation of an existing basement car park into a secure, bicycle storage facility for council staff who were relocating to their new HQ within the King Cross regeneration area.
Our new intervention provides storage for up to 200 bicycles, with new shower and changing facilities are contained within a new fair face blockwork enclosure. The use of brightly coloured walls and floor colour together with super graphics animate the basement space.
