The client required a new extension to their existing School of Management to form a new school for Postgraduate MBA users to provide a new 100 seat lecture theatre, 5 break-out rooms and 10 lecturer’s offices. An iconic new image was sought which would raise the school’s profile and attract premium fee students. Our response created a new two storey pavilion set in front of the existing school, separated by a glazed internal street. The initial phase comprises the lecture theatre expressed as a sculpted oval form, clad in standing seam zinc and a two storey atrium creating a new entrance and milling space.
