The project involved the creation of a new ‘Centre of Excellence’ for the treatment, education and management of diabetes. The new facility provides a series of consulting rooms, a treatment room and an education centre.
An existing two storey building is enclosed with a galleried atrium space, forming the main entrance with waiting, treatment and consultation areas arranged at ground floor level. A new stair leads to consultation rooms and offices at first floor.
Located at the entrance to the St Peter’s site, the new building is a collage of timber cladding and floating planes of render offset with splashes of colour.
